Age Restrictions

We love kids, but unfortunately a coffee event isn’t the best place for them, given all the hot water, heavy machinery and moving parts.  Please note that there is no on-site child care.

By Age

  • 12 and older:  allowed in Exhibit Hall, Lectures, and Workshops during Attendee Hours if registered

  • 18 and older:  allowed in Exhibit Hall during set up/tear down during Exhibitor Hours if registered

  • 18 and older: able to volunteer

  •  Children Under 12: allowed in Exhibit Hall & Lectures during show hours only, when accompanied by a properly badged and registered guardian(s).

 By Area

  • Exhibit Hall: 18 and older during Exhibitor Hours for set up and tear down if registered, 12 and older during Attendee Hours if registered

  • Lectures: 12 and older if registered

  • Workshops: 12 and older if registered

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a registered guardian(s) at all times while on the show floor.  Failure of the guardian to supervise the child’s activities may result in removal from the show.  Should said removal occur, there are no refunds for the guardian(s), and Show Management is not responsible for any associated costs to attend the event.

Under no circumstances, will children under 18 be admitted on the trade show floor during exhibitor move-in or move out.

Parents and/or adult guardians that choose to bring minor children under age 18 to the show understand that they are assuming full responsibility and liability for the actions and behavior of the minor children that are brought into any area of the show including, but not limited to the Exhibit Hall, Lectures, or Workshops.

Badge Requirements

  • Anyone 12 or older must be registered with a badge to attend World of Coffee

  • All attendees must wear their World of Coffee badge to access any SCA program or event

  • Registrations of minors age 12-17 must be signed by a parent or legal guardian 18 or older

  • A Minors Indemnity Acceptance Form must be completed and signed for any children under 18 years of age entering World of Coffee 2024 – PLEASE CLICK HERE 

  • Media Badge: Individuals must be 18 years or older to apply for a Media badge

Badge Pick-up Your entry voucher is required to pick-up your badge on-site. No badges will be mailed prior to the show. If you do not have your entry voucher, you will be required to present a valid photo ID. 

Badge Reprint Fee There will be a €25.00 badge reprint fee for lost or missing badges. Attendees requesting a badge reprint will be required to present a valid photo ID. 

Other important policies

Badge sharing, splitting, duplicating or sale: The unauthorized resale or attempted resale of your badge (the "Badge") is prohibited and will constitute a forfeiture of the Badge without compensation. Each Badge must be used only by Attendee for each day of the event. Each Badge is a revocable license to attend the event.

Badge sharing, splitting or duplicating is strictly prohibited. Any registrant found in violation of this policy will have their badge confiscated, and they will be removed from the World of Coffee immediately and forfeit attendance eligibility in current and future years.

Data Security: SCA uses a variety of data security measures that are compliant with U.S. law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal registration information will reside on a GDPR-compliant server with a third party in the United States to run reports and maintain information integrity within SCA’s database. At the conclusion of this event, if you opt’d in your personal information will be stored on SCA’s GDPR-compliant internal database as an attendee of this event. Past attendees will receive updates about future SCA events. At any time, you may request access to the personal information you provided through your registration. You may also request to review, correct or delete any of that personal information.  Your personal information may be transferred to other countries for processing where it will continue to be GDPR-compliant, and by using this registration website, you consent to the transfer of information to such countries. SCA MEDIA POLICIES

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

  • Photographers and videographers who are filming for commercial (non-press) purposes are required to disclose who their client is and a description of the project to anyone being filmed and obtain the appropriate signed release forms from both individuals and authorized company representatives.

  • Images of a booth and its contents for commercial purposes may only be electronically recorded with the consent of the exhibitor. SCA reserves the right to revoke the credentials of violators and remove the violator from the exhibit hall.

  • Photographers must respect anyone’s request to not be filmed.

  • Live streaming of any kind is prohibited in Lecture rooms and Workshops.

  • Drone/aerial filming is strictly prohibited.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Attendees are encouraged to actively post live from the event on various social media networks. Those attending and exhibiting at the event understand that they may be captured in the background of social media posts and consent in advance.

  • Cyber bullying is never allowed at an SCA event and will be swiftly addressed. For more information, see the SCA Code of Conduct.

  • Professional social media managers and those posting on behalf of a company are expected to adhere to the same policies listed above for professional photographers/videographers.

SCA PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Photo Release:  By registering for the 2024 World of Coffee, you grant permission to SCA and its contracted sponsoring partners (see worldofcoffee.org/2024-partners for official partner list) to use your image in any photographs, videotape, motion picture or any other media taken by official SCA show photographers and videographers during and in relation to the 2024 World of Coffee for any of SCA’s publications, social media, advertising or promotional purposes whatsoever, in perpetuity throughout the world.


    While we have no means of managing opt out requests ahead of the event, SCA is committed to honoring requests to not use photos of individuals who wish to not have their photo used in promotional pieces to the best of our ability after the event.
